Due to deadline pressures i hadn't gotten down to formally installing a full fledged Rails IDE until now. I'd just been using Aptana Studio with the Ruby Plugin using the download available here: http://update.aptana.com/update/rdt/3.2/
But its more than simple to get RadRails up n running. Visit http://update.aptana.com/install/rails/3.2/ and follow the Installation procedure. Not hard. But if you're behind a firewall it won't happen, so you need to download the plugin and follow the latter part .. i.e go Install via Help => Software Updates and Browse to the zip you just downloaded.
But i faced a problem with this which i googled my way through- when you select this plugin for installation in "Select appropriate Plugins to install" , i got this error : org.eclipse.mylyn.context_feature (2.0.0.v20070628-1000) is needed .
But this is optional, so just expand the plugin directory and unselect the myln plugin and you'll be set! :)
